Kilada Blue

KB-42 Organic Greek Dry Gin was launched in 2022 by Bertrand Bricheux & Marc Gutenmacher, part of a group of Swiss friends with a passion for Greece and who established Kilada Blue, a brand promoting authentic Greek experiences. Kilada is the name of the Peloponnese village near which the gin's 100% organic botanicals are sourced, and the 'Blue' element of the brand name is inspired by the village's view over the Aegean sea. KB-42 Gin, bottled at 42% ABV, features lemon alongside an array of Greek herbs and is distilled in a copper pot still at the oldest family-owned distillery in Greece, Callicounis Distillery.

KB-42 Gin (42% ABV)

  • Botanicals: 10 botanicals including juniper, angelica root, coriander seeds, cardamom, chamomile, basil, rosemary, sage, thyme, lemon. Base Spirit: Grain.​
  • Serving Suggestion: Gin & Tonic with a garnish of Rosemary or Lemon, or in a Negroni or Basil Smash.
  • Tasting Notes: Aromas of juniper, bold lemon and fresh mixed herbs. On the palate: juniper and lemon with herbaceous notes. A dry finish of coriander seeds, chamomile and lingering citrus. 
The Gin Guide Review: KB-42 Gin is a fragrant, fresh and characterful gin that is pleasingly evocative of Greece, focusing on vibrant lemon and an abundant array of organic herbs instead of the sometimes divisive Greek flavours of olives and mastic resin. From the aroma alone the variety of herbs is evident, from soft chamomile and leafy basil to drier thyme, sage and rosemary. Lemon has a prominent role alongside the juniper, bringing zesty, waxy and oily citrus notes that balance with the herbs, all underpinned by soft cardamom which gives a gentle base note throughout.
