Mistral Gin - Review

The Gin Guide Review: Mistral Gin is a characterful and intriguing gin inspired by the flavours of Provence. While it is pink in hue, it is the dry herbaceous and herbal botanicals alongside pink grapefruit that have prominence alongside the juniper. It is certainly not your typically sweet and fruity pink gin, and the use of eucalyptus is a pleasing addition as it has grown well in the south of France since the 1800s but is not commonly associated with the region. With tonic water, Mistral Gin has mild and savoury characters with balance from the fruity citrus of pink grapefruit, and a minty herbal freshness also emerges together with thyme and pepper. It's a flavour profile that works enjoyably in classic gin cocktails but is also versatile and ripe for experimenting with contemporary cocktails and serves. - Paul Jackson, 2021
