The Palm Springs Spirits Co.

In 2020, after five months of development with master distillers based in Oregon, The Palm Springs Spirits Co. launched its flagship Modern Love Gin. The 'Modern Love' brand is a tribute to the mid-century modern home of distillery owners Tony and Milena Hazell, and also the name of a painting which hangs in their living room.

Modern Love Gin

  • ABV: 45% (Base Spirit: Corn).
  • Botanicals: 9 including juniper, coriander, orris, orange peel, lemon peel, lime peel, grapefruit peel, lavender, blackcurrant.

Tasting Notes: Aromas of bright lemon and lime with floral notes and berry notes. On the palate, oily citrus note pink grapefruit and lemon zest, blackcurrant and juniper. A warm, dry finish with lingering cassia.
Serving Suggestion / Garnish: Gin & Tonic with a garnish of Lemon Peel or Grapefruit, or in a French 75 or Bramble.
The Gin Guide Review: Modern Love Gin is bold and flavoursome with a classic core and vibrant layers of sweet, bright citrus and subtle fruitiness that make it a distinctive and contemporary gin. The rich citrus oils coat the tongue and deliver a full-bodied mouthfeel, with background notes of juniper and warm spice which builds and lingers in the finish. "We set out to create a complex, 'gin lovers gin', with a far broader appeal than the traditional London Dry styles of the past.
