Palma Gin - Review & Tasting Notes
Palma Gin
|
The Gin Guide Review: Palma Gin aims to represent the island of Mallorca and it does this very effectively. The gin goes beyond the citrus fruits you may have come to expect from a Spanish gin, and offers complexity, subtleties and depth of flavour. From start to finish the piney juniper, juicy and bittersweet citrus, and floral lavender are underpinned by a combination of woody, earthy, spiced and subtle sweet notes. On the nose it is surprisingly fragrant and delicate, rather than being tempted towards overpowering citrus. The flavour develops through the palate and finish to fill you mouth, with some punch at 46.6% being intertwined with spice and controlled with bittersweet citrus peels. When mixed with tonic the gin really finds its balance and makes for an ideal G&T with a garnish of orange peel. Palma Gin is certainly more than just a pretty bottle. - Paul Jackson, 2019

MEET THE MAKERS
"We started searching for produce and botanicals that grow naturally on the island. We worked hard to create a gin recipe which we feel represents Mallorca for its delicate flowers, zesty citrus and earthy vegetation." - Byron Holland, Founder
