Penrhos Spirits
​Launched in 2018, Penrhos Spirits was established in Herefordshire by two farming families who grow strawberries, raspberries, cherries, blueberries, eating apples and cider apples. The distillery is an old barn where co-founder Richard's grandmother, Constance, used to raise calves, and their copper pot CARL still is named Connie after her. Blueberries, cherry blossom and honey from the farm are used in every distillation of their flagship gin, Penrhos Gin.

Penrhos Gin (40.5% ABV)

  • Botanicals: 14 including juniper, coriander seeds, angelica root, orris root, cinnamon, cardamom, pink pepper, liquorice, chamomile, rose, hibiscus, cherry blossom, honey, blueberries. Base Spirit: Grain.​
  • ​Serving Suggestions: Gin & Tonic with a garnish of Pink Grapefruit, Rosemary or Mint, in a The Last Word cocktail.
  • Tasting Notes: Fresh and summery aromas with fragrant, floral cherry blossom and hibiscus. Smooth and floral on the palate with juniper, rose, cherry blossom and cardamom. A smooth and light finish with floral notes and earthy liquorice.
The Gin Guide Review: Penrhos Gin delivers a wealth of uplifting floral aromas and flavours that instantly bring to mind the blossoming trees of spring. Layered on a light and classic core of traditional botanicals are floral rose, hibiscus and cherry blossom, while cinnamon, cardamom, honey and chamomile give soft and complementary depth.
