The Stin - Styrian Gin
|
Stin Gin was launched in 2015 by friends Johannes Firmenich and Reinhard Jagerhofer who met while studying at the University of Natural Resources & Life Sciences, with Johannes being from a family of wine producers and Reinhard being from a family of fruit growers. The 'Stin Gin' name is short for Styrian Gin, the region in south Austria where Stin Gin is distilled, and the gin is distilled with a base spirit made from Styrian apples and features 28 locally grown botanicals. The Stin Gin range also includes an Overproof edition at 57% ABV and a Sloe Gin.

Meet the Makers
"Our Styrian Dry Gin is produced strictly with London Dry Gin method. First, we macerate our alcohol with our 28 botanicals for a few days to allow the flavours to develop. We then distill the liquid and reduce it to drinking strength with Styrian spring water. If you produce a London Dry Gin like we do, you are not allowed to add additives or preservatives and we take this very seriously." - Johannes & Reinhard, Founders
