The Gin Guide Review
Chew Valley London Dry Gin is flavoursome and skilfully balanced, with a sumptuous and full mouthfeel. Juniper, subtly sweet lemon peel notes, earthy pepperiness, anise and fennel are brought together on top of gentle warm spice with complexity and depth. These core flavours are individually identifiable but also entirely cohesive, which makes for an engaging and characterful spirit. With Tonic Water the aromas of anise are elevated, and piney juniper, lemon and peppery cubebs and grains of paradise are abundant when mixed too. An enjoyable gin all round that understandably and unanimously impressed the Judges of The Gin Guide Awards 2021. - Paul Jackson, 2021 |
Meet the Maker
"From the beginning we've favoured Vapour Infusion when creating our gins. This process works well with our more delicate botanicals and citrus peels due to the lower temperatures involved. We also steep our botanicals for 24 hours prior to distillation when producing our London Dry and Navy Strength Gins. Our core botanicals are very traditional as before anything else we wanted to create a true classic gin to build from." - Founder & Distiller, Joe Kelly
