- Judging: 14th March - 14th April
- Collation of Scores & Comments: 15th April - 25th April

Samples & Delivery
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR INTERNATIONAL ENTRANTS: Please read the additional guide (below) for details on sending samples from outside the UK.

- One (1) 70cl, 75cl or 50cl bottle of each gin entered. Two (2) 50cl bottles are required if also entering both Cocktail categories.
- The bottles must be fully labelled and sealed, and provided as per retail.
- Members of The Gin Guide may request for recently sent sample bottles to be used for judging.
- Please only send your samples and do not include marketing materials (e.g. leaflets) or promotional items.
- All taxes and duties must be paid in full in order to be accepted. For deliveries requiring the payment of additional import taxes or duties, entrants will be contacted to pay the additional costs.

Sending Samples from Outside the UK
- Please send your samples at the earliest possible time do mitigate customs delays.
- All spirits that enter the UK require Duty & UK VAT to be paid.
- As per the Terms and Conditions of entry, this must be paid by the sender using the 'DDP' (Delivery Duty Paid) method wherever possible.
- To do this, when sending your samples there should be an option to choose whether the duties are being paid by the Sender or Receiver - please select ‘Sender’.
- This DDP option may only be provided when you have an account with your chosen courier.
- When sending your shipment, please include full details of the contents in your paperwork / within the delivery, including:
- Number of bottles being sent
- Bottle size in volume
- ABV %
- Retail value
- Please make it clear on any paperwork that the bottles are samples which are not for re-sale and have no commercial value. The box can be marked as 'SAMPLE - NOT FOR RESALE'.

- For any deliveries that are received and require the payment of additional import taxes or duties, the sender will be sent an invoice to compensate these costs plus a £10 administration fee.
To reduce the costs and carbon footprint of international shipping, we accept grouped deliveries including gins from multiple entrants. You are welcome to collaborate with other gin producers in your country to send your gin samples together.
