What Happens Next?
You'll be kept up to date via email updates at each key stage of the Awards process, including being introduced to the 2024 judging panel, more information about the judging process, and of course notifications of announcements of Finalists and Winners. Full Awards Schedule 2024
- Entry Closes: Friday 9th February
- Sample Delivery Deadline: Friday 23rd February
- Preparation of Judging Samples: 26th - 29th February
- Samples Sent to Judges: 1st March
- Judging: 7th March - 28th March
- Collation of Scores & Comments: 2nd April - 12th April
- Finalists Announced: Estimated 24th April
- Winners Announced: Estimated 8th May
- Certificates Sent: Estimated 22nd May
- Tasting Scores & Judges' Comments Sent: by 31st May
Samples & Delivery
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR INTERNATIONAL ENTRANTS: Please send your samples at the earliest possible time do mitigate customs delays. Please also ensure that deliveries are marked as 'SAMPLES' and that your courier is aware that the products are samples and have not been purchased by The Gin Guide and are not for sale.
Sample Requirements:
To reduce the costs and carbon footprint of international shipping, we accept grouped deliveries including gins from multiple entrants. You are welcome to collaborate with other gin producers in your country to send your gin samples together.
Sample Requirements:
- One (1) 70cl, 75cl or 50cl bottle of each gin entered. Two (2) 50cl bottles are required if also entering Cocktail categories.
- The bottles must be fully labelled and sealed, and provided as per retail.
- Members of The Gin Guide may request for recently sent sample bottles to be used for judging.
- Please only send your samples and do not include marketing materials (e.g. leaflets) or promotional items.
- All taxes and duties must be paid in full in order to be accepted. For deliveries requiring the payment of additional import taxes or duties, entrants will be contacted to pay the additional costs.
