GIN LAUNCH: 137 Distillery Launches Navy Royal Gin

Introducing…..The 137 Navy Royal Gin. A year in the making, the Navy Royal designed and handcrafted here in Royal Berkshire is ready to be introduced to the world.

From the 24-hour maceration of botanicals, the multi-distillation, through to the thrice cut final product - this new navy strength gin weighing in at 58% ABV is a huge labour of love.

Most closely related to the multi award-winning Berkshire Dry, the key botanicals include juniper, orange peel, white pepper, grains of paradise and cassia for what we believe to be a strong yet incredibly smooth navy strength gin.

Born out of a desire for versatility, we’ve curated a selection of our favourite serves that compliment the flavour profile best and will talk about each of these serves in the coming days.
 
TASTING NOTES FROM 137 DISTILLERY:

• Nose: A heightened profile to that of the Berkshire Dry, with a silky smooth texture that coats the mouth in the rich botanical oils. The complexity builds as the notes from the grains of paradise, cardamom and orange citrus come forward.
• Palate: Earthy, rich and lingering. Leaving you with a bold and sophisticated drink that is both well-structured and balanced.
• Finish: A rich, resinous piney juniper profile followed by citrus burst leading to a sweet and warming spiciness of cardamom and cassia which is distinctly associated with the 137 range.

 
Always striving for better, Pete continues to make improvements to the core range, and has now introduced this, the Navy Royal, as the first of his superior range, versatile and bar-friendly whilst still retaining the core principals close to his heart.
