*** PRESS RELEASE FROM ORKNEY SPIRITS ***
Aatta Gin is a premium London Dry gin that takes its name from Old Norse (once spoken in Orkney), meaning ‘eight’. Distilled eight times, with the final distillation carried our incredibly slowly over 24 hours, it has eight botanicals: with juniper, handpicked rosehip, vibrant citrus and a long rounded finish with gentle hints of cinnamon and vanilla. The tasteful 70cl bespoke bottle is based on traditional receptacles found on Orkney’s shores from times past, with the business name ‘Orkney Spirits Limited’ made into the glass of the bottle, a bespoke glass stopper with a gold coin set inside. Aatta has already won gold in the Spirits Business Awards before its release, and while it has joined our collection later than our other gins, it is set to be our signature gin as it has been in stages of planning for many years. We love to pair Aatta with Indian tonic, fresh oranges to garnish to match the fresh botanicals and some rosemary. We think Aatta and our Orkney Akvavit are the only spirits in the UK distilled this many times. They are very silky and smooth because of it.
