**** PRESS RELEASE FROM DRAGON SLAYER DISTILLERY ****Dragon Slayer Distillery launch Rhubarb Gin
North East-based Dragon Slayer Distillery has launched its third signature gin after months of perfecting the rhubarb infused spirit. The firm, which is run by father and daughter duo, Paul and Yasmin Gibson, currently offers three gins, each inspired by the folklore of the countryside which surrounds the distillery. Paul and Yasmin started sampling the gin in January, and it has taken around 15 small distillations for the pair to be happy with the flavour, which they recommend drinking in the sunshine. Managing director, Yasmin Gibson, said she’s extremely excited for gin lovers to give Sigurd a sip. “We wanted to create something inspired by the English garden, a nice floral-style gin. We know there are a lot of rhubarb options out there, but we find them incredibly sweet – so we wanted to put a Dragon Slayer spin on it, similar to how we did with our Strawberry and Mint gin, which was recently a Winner in the Flavoured Gin category of The Gin Guide Awards, so we must be doing something right! “It has been infused with rose petals, earl grey tea, and a hint of basil too – it has some beautiful floral elements, obviously only the finest of ingredients, and we usually try to go local too. I really hope everyone loves it. We’re going to slowly launch it at a little event to see what people think, then the following week we’ll be going in all guns blazing at the Tall Ships in Hartlepool." The new gin is best served with lots of ice, Mediterranean tonic, and a sprinkle of rose petals.
