***PRESS RELEASE***
On 6th March 2018, Marylebone Gin unveiled ‘Isabella’, its new beautiful copper pot still, in Marylebone Hotel’s 108 Bar, making it London’s most central gin distillery. Isabella will be a permanent feature in the centre of the bar and will enable guests to see the distillation process first-hand. As well as producing batches of super-premium Marylebone Gin, the still will also be used by Marylebone founder, Johnny Neill to come up with experimental batches of high quality spirits. Marylebone Gin is produced by The Pleasure Gardens Distilling Company, with a history dating back to 1762. Boasting 13 botanicals and taking inspiration from London’s fashionable 18th Century pleasure gardens, the gin’s botanicals include camomile, grapefruit and lime flower, giving it an unrivalled balance and complexity. At 50.2 per cent, Marylebone is also overproof, meaning the drink is perfectly balanced and not overpowered by other ingredients, enabling drinkers to taste the base spirit through drinks, a rare quality. MARYLEBONE GIN TASTING NOTES: Nose: Delicate and complex, bursting with floral overtones. Taste: Juniper, sweet citrus and grapefruit up front leading into more intense floral and citrus notes. Finish: A beautiful warming finish with notes of cassia, cloves and liquorice. Marylebone Gin comes in an elegant keepsake blue bottle and is available nationwide from Amazon and in London from stores including John Lewis, Waitrose and M&S, priced from £45 for a 70cl bottle.
