What is Old Tom? Old Tom Gin is a very old style of English gin, dating back to the 17th Century. Production techniques and ingredients were often very poor, resulting in a rough-tasting drink. It was therefore sweetened slightly, and sometimes lightly spiced, to make it palatable, as it would usually have been drunk neat. This often resulted in a spirit that was no longer clear. Why an Old Tom? Our Master Distiller, Andrew Parsons, is passionate about gin: “I wanted to explore all styles of the spirit. With Sky Wave Old Tom Gin I enjoying delving into history and developing a beautiful gin which reflects tradition paired with a modern edge to be attractive to drinkers today. Sky Wave Gin's adventurous spirit is boldly harnessing the luxury market with delicious expressions." Said Andrew.
