National Launch of Shed 1's limited edition Ulverston Gin (40% ABV) - Bringing together Community, Charity & Local Art Students. Founders and Distillers, Zoe & Andy explain that "Ginspiration struck on a walk up Hoad, in our lovely town of Ulverston. This resulted in our latest creation and gave us the opportunity to work with local groups, artists and charities for the ultimate local, Ulverston Gin." Foraged Sheep Sorrel, Gorse, Speedwell and Blackcurrant Leaves are 4 of the 9 botanicals found in this juniper-led, London Dry Gin, with hints of herb and hedgerow. Every bottle comes with a pamphlet that has been designed by two local art students. It includes a foraging map showing where they found each of the botanicals for Ulverston gin, plus information about each botanical. Paul Jackson of The Gin Guide writes, "Ulverston Gin brings together herbal, herbaceous and floral notes in a showcase of local Cumbrian botanicals that is flavoursome, skilfully balanced and has a charming sense of provenance. The fresh herbal notes intertwine with the savoury herbaceous notes, while the floral botanicals have presence but without being overbearing. It is a gin that has been a labour of love for Andy & Zoe and this really shows in the finished product - a gin that Ulverston can be very proud of."
