Greenall's Gin Review & Tasting Notes
About Greenall's Gin
Greenall's Gin, formerly named Warrington Dry Gin in the 1700s, is the original London Dry Gin produced by G&J Distillers - Britain's oldest continuous distillers, dating back to 1761. To celebrate G&J Distillers' 250th anniversary in 2011, the Greenall's Gin bottle and branding was refreshed, before a return to a more classic and traditional style in 2017. Greenall's Gin features the same 8 botanicals as the original recipe, and they are macerated for 8 hours in English wheat spirit ahead of being distilled and brought to 37.5% with demineralised water.
The Gin Guide Review Greenall's gin is a classic, well-rounded and juniper-led gin from the UK's second largest distillery. Despite its low cost and wide availability, Greenall's Gin is made with impressive attention to detail and considered selection of botanicals, and using historic copper stills that were saved from the distillery's 2007 fire. Greenall's Gin is best served in a traditional gin and tonic or dry martini. Garnish suggestion: Lemon Peel or Lime. - Paul Jackson, 2015 Buy Greenall's Gin
