Magna Carta Gin

Magna Carta Gin was launched in 2023 by Surrey-based luxury lifestyle specialists, Kirsty & Eamonn Leacy. Taking inspiration. Distilled at Henley Distillery, the gin and brand are inspired by the history of the Runnymede area of Surrey where the Magna Carta was signed and sealed by King John in 1215. 

Review: Magna Carta Gin  (42% ABV)

  • Botanicals: 9 including juniper, coriander seeds, fennel seeds, green peppercorns, tonka beans, hibiscus, orange peel, lemon peel. Base Spirit: Grain.​
  • Serving Suggestion: Gin & Tonic with a garnish of Lemon or Basil, or in a Martini or White Lady.
  • Tasting Notes: Aromas of resinous pine, light citrus and warming pepper. Dry on the palate with juniper, citrus and gentle floral notes. A finish of vanilla, spice and peppery warmth.

"While raising our family amid the lush green Surrey countryside, we were inspired to create an artisan spirits brand imbued with the impressive history of Runnymede. The area which will forever be associated with the signing of the Magna Carta and we regularly visit for family walks, so naming our first foray into the creation of spirits after the Magna Carta seemed like the perfect fit.
