Ninch Dry Gin
Based in Victoria, Australia, That Spirited Lot Distillers was founded in 2018 by JP Willigenburg and they launched Ninch Dry Gin in 2019. The base spirit for the gin is produced from wine from the Mornington Peninsula and Yarra Valley, which is pot-distilled into a brandy spirit and then turned into a neutral spirit. The botanicals for Ninch Dry Gin are macerated in the base spirit for 24 hours before distillation in a single-shot in their copper pot still. |

The Gin Guide Review
Ninch Dry Gin is vibrant, aromatic and well-rounded. It is sumptuously smooth, full and rounded - maximising the character of the grape base spirit. Bittersweet citrus, juniper and earthy roots are at the core, while cardamom provides its complex addition of floral and herbal touches. A touch of water brings out pepper and coriander seeds for added character and depth, while tonic brings out further spice and earthier notes, as well as deeper citrus notes. Ninch Dry Gin is moreish, flavoursome and joy to experience, with an exceptional mouthfeel. Pink Grapefruit and/or Sage make for ideal garnish starting points. - Paul Jackson, 2020 |
