Audemus Pink Pepper Gin - Review & Tasting Notes
Pink Pepper Gin
Launched in 2014, Pink Pepper Gin is distilled in the living room of founder Miko Abouaf's house in the centre of Cognac. Unlike the Cognac producers that surround them who use large copper stills, Audemus Spirits use glass vacuum stills, having been originally inspired by the vacuum distillation setup of Sacred Spirits of London. This distillation method allows alcohol to boil at a lower temperature and therefore the process can be more sensitive to delicate botanicals and avoid overheating or stewing them. |
The Gin Guide Review
Pink Pepper, juniper and cardamom spring out for a spicy nose. On the palate the gin is full bodied and intensely aromatic, thus it is perfect for sipping or in cocktails. After the initial rush of beautifully balanced spice, the gin opens out into deep warming notes of vanilla and tonic bean leaving you with a delicious lingering taste. |
