Rosemullion Summer Gin - Review & Tasting Notes
Rosemullion Summer Gin
Rosemullion Summer Gin was launched in 2019 by Rosemullion Distillery, established in Mawnan near Falmouth in Cornwall in 2018. The founders, Andy and Liz Bradbury, ferment their own base spirit for their range of gins and rums and combine this with local fruits and botanicals. Rosemullion Summer Gin is made in 100 – 200 bottle batches in a copper pot still and the family-run distillery utilises Cornish rainwater for both fermentation and distillation. |
The Gin Guide Review
Rosemullion Summer Gin has the distinctive character of Rosemullion Distillery's fermented sugar base spirit along with its own botanical blend and the addition of summer fruits, berries and citrus. The aroma is bright and vibrant with citrus, the mouthfeel is smooth and the finish is lingering with light fruit notes, cassia and black pepper. While using botanicals with bold flavours, this is not an overpoweringly sweet or fruity gin - juniper is evident and the fruit botanicals have been used subtly and are effectively combined. If you enjoy the unique character of the rest of the Rosemullion range, Summer Gin fits in well and it's another you're likely to enjoy. - Paul Jackson, 2020 |

Meet the Makers
"We are one of a very small number of distilleries in the area which creates its own base spirits from scratch, rather than simply flavouring purchased industrial spirits. This gives us total control, and the opportunity to experiment."
