On This Page: Cornish Gin and Distillery directory, reviews and tasting notes, distillery tours in Cornwall, interviews with Cornish distillers, and industry insights.
Cornwall's history with spirits is long and exciting, from the harbours that saw gin and rum laden ships heading out on voyages and fishing trips, to the darker side with piracy and the smuggling of alcohol using Cornwall's rocky bays. Nowadays, through both quantity and quality of distilleries and spirits, Cornwall has put its name on the UK gin map in style, aided by local access to some wonderful coastal and rural botanicals. With an enticing list of gins being distilled in Cornwall and with several distilleries there being open for tours and tastings, we're spoilt for choice in getting a little taste of Cornwall.

Cornish Gin Reviews - A to Z
Foy Gin
Foy Gin is distilled at Fowey Valley Cidery & Distillery in Golant, on the banks for the River Fowey. Having started making hand-pressed cider over 30 years ago, founders Barrie and Geraldine Gibson established their commercial cidery in 2012 before launching Foy Gin in 2017. The gin is produced in 200L copper pot stills with the distillery's own base alcohol, and the distillery offers tours and tastings, gin making experiences and also cider making classes and tours.

Rosemullion Gin
Rosemullion Dry Gin was launched in 2019 as the signature gin of Rosemullion Distillery, established in Mawnan near Falmouth in Cornwall in 2018. The founders, Andy and Liz Bradbury, ferment their own base spirit for their range of gins and rums and combine this with local fruits and botanicals. Rosemullion Gin is made in 100 – 200 bottle batches in a copper pot still and the family-run distillery utilises Cornish rainwater for both fermentation and distillation.
