The Gentlemen Distillers
The Gentlemen Distillers Ltd was established in 2018 and is named in honour of the original 'Gentlemen Distillers of London' who worked to reverse gin's reputation as being 'Mothers Ruin'. The distillery was established by James Wood and his wife Shelby, with everyone involved having experience of playing in brass bands and concert bands, or being supporters of community music initiatives. Their flagship brand, Bandsman Gin, is inspired by and dedicated to musicians, and their debut gin, Bandsman British Gin, is a compound gin featuring kitchen garden botanicals and also fresh tomatoes in tribute to Lincolnshire's agricultural heritage. The distillery has since launch Bandmaster London Dry Gin, Bandsman Proms Pink Gin, Carollers' Reserve Winter Gin Liqueur, and further gins in support of musical charitable causes.

  • Botanicals: Cold compounded with 8 botanicals including juniper, basil, rosemary, parsley, dandelion root, tomato, raisins, elderflower cordial. Base Spirit: Grain.

Tasting Notes: Aromas of elderflower, leafy green notes and herbs. On the palate, juniper, basil, dry rosemary and bright elderflower.

The Gin Guide Review: Bandsman British Gin is a charming cold compounded gin with a golden hue and a rustic, enticing character. Sweet and bright elderflower is balanced with the kitchen garden notes of green and savoury basil and parsley, dry rosemary, and earthy dandelion root.
