Derbyshire Gin Reviews - A to Z
Chatsworth Gin
Peak Ales had been brewing ales since 2015 when they were asked by the Duke & Duchess of Devonshire if they could also make gin. After collaborative recipe development, Chatsworth Gin was launched in 2019, featuring several botanicals sourced from the grounds and greenhouses of the Chatsworth Estate, including lemon verbena, lemongrass, and cavendish banana leaves.

Dancing Anchor Gin
Opened in 2021 in Dronfield in Derbyshire, Dancing Anchor Spirits was founded by accountant Amy Gillatt and distiller and brewer David Hemstock. The distillery's name was inspired by the founders' links with the islands of the UK, Cayman Islands and Sardinia - hence the anchor logo - and by their love of dance music. As well as their Dry Gin, Pink Gin and Old Tom Gin, the distillery also produces the Twisted Mule range of flavoured gins.

Dog and Spoon Gin
Dog and Spoon Distillery was established by friends Tony Brindle and Seb Michaud. After converting an old barn on Tony's farm in 2019, Dog and Spoon Distillery's first product, 6a Gin, was launched in 2021. This was followed by their 60% ABV Miners' Strength edition and Bergamot edition. In 2022, the distillery was certified as Carbon Neutral.

The 'Cuckoostone' name is inspired by Ade and Becky's foraging walks in the National Forest Plantation near Matlock which they start on Cuckoostone Lane.

Withers Gin
Withers Gin was launched in 2020 by Sarah Withers, and her debut G1 Gin was inspired by her late Mum, Chrissy, and features her favourite flower, heartsease. In 2022, Withers Gin launched G-Force Gin, a 47% ABV edition of the G1 Gin recipe in memory of Sarah's father (a former RAF pilot who died of pancreatic cancer in 2018) and 10% of profits from Withers Gin are donated to cancer charities.
