About Fairham Distillery
Fairham Gin was launched in 2021 by friends and founders Liam Stemson & Ellis McKeown at the ages of just 24 and 25 respectively. Having begun developing the recipe in 2020 using a 3L still in an outbuilding on Fairham Avenue, this gave the gin its name ahead of moving to a small unit and purchasing a 60L copper pot still. In 2021, Fairham Gin Ochre Edition was launched as their second release. Liam and Ellis have also partnered with the Ribble Rivers Trust with a commitment for a tree sapling to be planted in Lancashire for every bottle of Fairham Gin sold.

Fairham Gin - Signature Edition

  • ​ABV: 45% (Base Spirit: Grain)​
  • Botanicals: 13 including  juniper, cinnamon, pink grapefruit, lemon, clementine, guava, kumquat, physalis.
Tasting Notes: Aromas of orange, lemon, earthy juniper and tart physalis. Contemporary on the palate with sweet citrus notes of lemon and fresh clementine. Lingering exotic citrus finish with pink grapefruit and hints of cinnamon.
Serving Suggestion / Garnish: Gin & Tonic with Mediterranean Tonic and a garnish of Lemon or Pink Grapefruit.
The Gin Guide Review: Fairham Gin features a unique combination of tropical botanicals including guava, physalis and kumquat, and they are utilised with purpose and have evident presence in balance with traditional botanicals. Together they identifiably contribute to a contemporary, bright and exotic layer in the gin that gives personality on top of the juniper and core of classic notes. In venturing into distilling rarely used botanicals, the result is that Fairham Gin is successfully distinctive and carries a point of interest and difference. Fairham Gin - Ochre Edition

  • Botanicals: 12 including juniper, orange, clementine, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg.
Tasting Notes: Aromas of clementine, juniper, fresh orange and earthy spice. Juniper, orange and bright clementine on the palate. Fiery ginger leads into a finish of deep orange notes, nutmeg and cinnamon. 
Serving Suggestion / Garnish: Gin & Tonic with Mediterranean Tonic and a garnish of Orange.
The Gin Guide Review: Fairham Gin's Ochre Edition combines a wealth of juniper with fresh orange, zesty clementine and autumnal spice. It is a dry, flavoursome gin with an enjoyable journey of flavour and an enticing balance of bright and initially subtly sweet citrus together with Autumnal, earthy and warming spice of ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon. Inspired by the tasting notes of a crisp white wine, Fairham Gin's Eden Edition is distilled with 6 botanicals, including juniper, fresh apples, sweet grapes, corianders seeds and coriander leaves.

"We were researching and testing how to distil and as we knew we wanted to include exotic fruits, some of which that are not commonly used to make gin, this made it even more difficult to be able to get the balance right in a recipe. We were stubborn and were willing to wait as long as it would take, so fast forward 12 months and we finally reached our finished product and our Signature Edition was released in April 2021." - Founders, Ellis McKeown & Liam Stemson
