Lancashire Gin & Distilleries in Lancashire
On This Page: Lancashire Gin A-Z with reviews and tasting notes, distillery tours and gin schools in Lancashire, interviews with Lancashire distillers, and behind-the-scenes video tours with Brindle Distillery, Lytham Gin and Wild Fox Distillery.
Lancashire, in North West England, has a long industrial history and in the 19th century the area was a major centre of economic activity, including coal mining and textile production. Whisky was commercially produced in large volumes in Lancashire during the 1800s, with records also showing a significant amount of illicit whisky production taking place, especially in the moors around Blackburn and Haslingden. In recent years, beginning with the launch of Brindle Distillery in 2017, Lancashire has been rapidly developing a name for itself as one of England's finest gin producing countries.
