***PRESS RELEASE FROM ELEMENTAL CORNISH GIN*** Elemental Cornish Gin Rebrand – Same great gin with a fresh new look We are really excited to be able to serve you up the same great tasting, premium gin in a beautiful new bottle that pays tribute to the distillery’s traditional methods, origins and location in the heart of Cornwall. Background Elemental was founded in 2013 and was one of the first gins to be exclusively distilled and bottled in Cornwall in over 300 years. The aim was to create a classic, premium gin with a bottle that paid tribute to the elements, Cornwall and our traditional methods of distillation. With a vintage look that was fitting for the ginaissance at the time (which was really only just reaching the Southwest), Elemental became a staple of the Cornish gin scene. Challenge Roll on seven years and Elemental, while still a well-loved, award-winning gin, had started to slip to the back of the shelf. As the gin scene grew, matured and diversified, not just in Cornwall, but all around the world it was no longer just the quality or flavour of the gins available that sparked interest, but also the design and look of the bottle which has become ever more important to catch the eye of the prospective buyer. When Joe and Nicki Woolley took over the distillery at the beginning of 2020 it was clear that in order to get Elemental the attention that it deserved, it needed a breath of fresh air and a fresh new look. Four weeks later and the country went into a nationwide lockdown and 2020 was set to become a very different and challenging year all round. New look The aim with Elemental’s new branding was always to ensure that Cornwall and the elements that are so important to the whole production process of our gin were always kept at the heart of the design. Keeping imagery of the wild North Cornish coast but in a painting rather than photo form has allowed us to add lots of little nods to both the original design as well as Cornwall and the natural elements that we celebrate and embrace at Elemental Cornish Gin. In moving away from the vintage black and gold we have also swapped the classic yet environmentally unfriendly wax seal for a biodegradable cellulose seal and wood cork. We are on a mission to become more sustainable as a business and part of this means reducing the impact that we have on our planet so this is just one of the many changes we have made and will continue to make to ensure we are moving in the right direction. Looking ahead The evolution of the brand has been inspiring and the support we have received phenomenal. Our hope is that people see this as a new lease of life for Elemental, and that this new look helps turn a few more heads this way so that more people can experience our delicious gin. #Embracetheelements
