**** PRESS RELEASE FROM PUDDINGSTONE DISTILLERY ****
Multi Award Winning Campfire Gin ‘Measures Up’ for Top-Shelf Position This Autumn sees the launch of Puddingstone Distillery’s new bottle design for its multi award winning Campfire Gin range. The refreshed design retains the simplicity and strong identity of the original Campfire bottle but sees an increase in volume from 50cl to 70cl. In doing so, the brand is offering a better value proposition to the trade and in return is looking to improve its shelf prominence. Founded in 2016 by husband and wife team Ben and Kate Marston, the Campfire Gin range has received international recognition and multiple accolades since it entered the market. Despite the obvious challenges of the past eighteen months, 2021 has been an incredible year for Puddingstone Distillery. In recent months the brand has received an impressive 8 International Spirits Awards and the ultimate accolade of Distillery of the Year from The Gin Guide. The latest development for the Herts based distillery is part of its growth strategy and the brand’s desire to increase its environmental credentials. Moving forward the core Campfire Gin range will use the Italian glassmaker Vetroelite’s 70cl Chiara bottle which is made from 40% recycled glass. The newly redesigned labels are made from 30% recycled fibre and the stoppers are made from recycled cork with wood, both from FSC certified suppliers. The Distillery is also completing its project to remove all plastic from its online delivery process. Commenting on the new bottles, founder Ben Marston said, “Our new 70cl bottles offer 40% more gin but the price increase will be negligible, presenting a much better value proposition to both the on and off trade. Making this change to our core product range has also enabled us to redesign our labelling and packaging thereby greatly improving our product’s environmental credentials. This year as we celebrate our fifth anniversary, we’re excited to see our Campfire products evolve. Making this change not only enhances our offering to the trade but we are looking to boost our on-shelf brand presence and visibility.” The new increased capacity bottle design is now available across the Campfire Gin range including: Campfire London Dry, Campfire Old Tom, Campfire Cask Aged and Campfire Navy Strength.
