Industry categories are not open to entry and are awarded based on nominations from experts from across the industry, including writers, bloggers, venue owners and event managers. Each category has one overall winner - this is the gin that achieved the highest number of nominations in the category and will be able to display the respective Award logo and certificate.

Cooper King Distillery received the highest number of nominations for their ongoing efforts towards environmental sustainability, including producing England's first carbon-negative gin. |

Awarded to the distillery receiving the highest number of nominations from industry experts based on the distillery's all around offering, product range and activity. Warner's Distillery received the highest number of nominations for their 'farm-grown' spirits, their virtual events, distillery tours and community engagement, and their approach to reducing their environmental impact. |

Awarded to the brand or distillery receiving the highest number of nominations from industry experts for innovation in flavours, products, processes, technology or industry initiatives. Audemus Spirits received the highest number of nominations for their continuous and enthusiastic approach to innovation in spirits and flavours, including creating unique products and progressive collaborations, as well as their approach to marketing and branding. |
INDUSTRY CHOICE: VIRTUAL EVENTS
WINNER: The Gin To My Tonic - England
Awarded to the event/s receiving the highest number of nominations from industry experts as the virtual event/s they have most enjoyed and been most impressed by in the past year. Emira, Paul and the The Gin To My Tonic team received the highest number of nominations for their online gin events and gin festivals, achieving notable popularity, engaging their audiences and providing a platform for gin distillers whilst unable to host their award-winning Meet the Maker shows and gin festivals. SPECIAL MENTIONS: With many in the industry embracing virtual events to engage their audiences during lockdown, nominations highlighted a wide range of events worthy of praise and credit, including BBB+'s Sipping Rooms, International Scottish Gin Day, Martini Club, Negroni Club, The Virtual Tasting Co, Warner's Distillery and York Gin. |
INDUSTRY CHOICE: LOCKDOWN LUMINARY
WINNER: Cynthia King / Locksley Distilling - Yorkshire, England
Awarded to the individual or team receiving the highest number of nominations from industry experts for their approach and adaptation during the past year of lockdown, including delivering enjoyment, entertainment, education and positive spirit. Cynthia and the Locksley Distilling team received the highest number of nominations for lifting spirits and the adaption of their model during lockdown, including their online gin school and live Friday Night Cocktails on Instagram. SPECIAL MENTION: Martini Club & Negroni Club - England A special mention to the similarly highly nominated Negroni Club, Martini Club and the team behind them who brought gin lovers together (and continue to do so) with events that showcased those in the hospitality industry as well as raising money towards supporting those in the industry. Multiple nominations were received by a long list of wonderful individuals, distilleries and organisations in the industry for their responses to COVID-19, from hand sanitiser production and distribution by selfless and generous distilleries across the UK, to online events and community engagement that entertained us, brought us together and lifted our spirits, and contributions to supporting our friends in the hospitality industry during this time.
