Launched in 2017 and created by Master Distiller Arko Ryynänen and Michelin Starred chef Jaakko Sorsa, the Arctic Blue Gin range is distilled at the Nordic Premium Beverages Distillery in the small village of Ilomantsi in the forests of eastern Finland. The company, formerly known as Hermannin Viinitila, is the oldest winery and producer of sparkling wines in Finland. For their gins, the bilberries used as a botanical are picked in the surrounding forests, and as the gins are not chill-filtered, the bilberries' natural oils are preserved in the gin and give it a gentle blue hue when mixed with ice or Tonic Water.

Arctic Blue Gin

Tasting Notes: Aromas of juniper, pine, bilberry and floral notes. On the palate, juniper, rose and bilberry, with cardamom and anise. A finish of coriander seeds, bilberry and lingering florals.
Serving Suggestion / Garnish: Gin & Tonic with a garnish of Blueberries, or in a Negroni, Martini or Aviation cocktail.
The Gin Guide Review: Arctic Blue Gin delivers an abundance of Nordic character with fragrant pine notes, subtly fruity bilberry and delicate florals. These three pillars of the flavour profile are beautifully supported with undertones of cardamom, coriander seeds and anise, and the mouthfeel is smooth, full and crisp.
