6 O'Clock Gin Review & Tasting Notes
About 6 O'Clock Gin
6 O'Clock Gin is the creation of Bristol-based fruit liqueur specialists Bramley & Gage who distill the gin in-house. Being a family-run business, the name '6 O'Clock' refers to the family's great grandfather who was an inventor, engineer and gin lover who would settle down with a gin and tonic at 6pm each day for some inspiration. An accompanying tonic water has been developed specifically to be paired with 6 O'Clock Gin, and tours are also available of the Bramley & Gage Distillery near Bristol. The Gin Guide Review 6 O'Clock Gin is a smooth and refreshing gin with big citrus hits of orange and lemon and hints of elderflower. The tag line describes the gin as 'Strikingly Smooth' - and between the bold blue bottle and smooth gin, it's a very accurate description. The citrus, subtly sweet and floral flavours make this gin taste fresh and summery, especially in a gin and tonic with 6 O'Clock Tonic Water which adds another tier of citrus alongside a twist of lemon to garnish. - Paul Jackson, 2016 |

Meet the Maker
"From soft fruit growing we moved into producing fruit liqueurs as a means of adding value to the farm’s surplus harvest. This led on to making sloe gin, which in turn became experimenting with and refining our own gin recipe. When Penny and I decided to retire, my son and daughter (Michael & Felicity) took over the business and decided to work on perfecting our London Dry recipe" - Edward Kain, Master Distiller
