Berkeley Square Gin Review & Tasting Notes
About Berkeley Square Gin
Berkeley Square Gin is a London Dry Gin and is distilled in a traditional copper still at the historic G&J Distillery in Warrington. Over the course of two days before distillation, five of the eight botanicals are macerated with the base spirit, before the final three botanicals, lavender, basil and sage, are wrapped in muslin as a 'bouquet garni' and left to infuse their essential oils on the second day. Berkeley Square Gin is the creation of Head Distiller Joanne Moore at G&J Distillers, the producers of Opihr Gin, Thomas Dakin Gin, Greenall's Gin and Bloom Gin. The Gin Guide says... To complement its sauve bottle which is adorned with its distinctive door knocker, Berkeley Square Gin is smooth and sophisticated. Using traditional botanicals alone, Head Distiller Joanne Moore has achieved a mellow, herbal and light variation on the classic London Dry Gin. With impressive subtlety and depth of flavour, Berkeley Square Gin truly can be enjoyed neat and is very versatile, making ideal in a wide range of gin cocktails - especially a Martini and Gimlet.
